ABOUT US

Turning Interest Into Action

In 2000, Naomi's Children supported approximately eight local school-age "scholars" in Center West, Burkina Faso. The scholars are children negatively impacted by the loss of a parent, home, and overwhelming conditions of poverty. Initially, Naomi shared her modest earnings to help meet the need for food, clothing, shelter, and school supplies for a few orphaned local children. Over the last five years, the number of children and families that seek her support has tripled to roughly twenty-five. Naomi's faith in God and desire to help children made it possible to maintain the well-being of these children for several years. With the assistance of family and a few volunteer mentors, Naomi's Children scholars spend ten months in school per year and 45 hours per week in school instruction. In 2020, Naomi's Children lost their beloved patron to the COVID-19 virus.
